Halee's Dance Recital

Little miss Halee's dance recital this spring. She had a ball being in Miss Janae's class. A lot of her friends good friends were danced with her. So cute!

Tragdon's baptism

Tragdon gets baptized! It was a great day for our family. Tragdon has such a sweet soft heart. He is such a joy in our family. He was baptized May 23, 2015. I am so proud of him.

Poland and Franfurt Oder

We spent a few hours in Poland. This is the largest statue of Jesus Christ in the world. I have to say it was pretty cool.

An old church in Frankfurt Oder.

This was a park really close to Ola and Akmed's house.

I know, random, but I loved this scene.

Ola and Akmed. Amazing couple. Their story of sacrifice and faith made me cry.

Hamburg

We stayed the night in Hamburg on our way to Flensburg. This was our hotel. A beautiful Marriot in downtown.

This was a concentration camp that we visited. It was converted into a prison after the war and a lot of the buildings were torn down. It was really interesting to visit this place though and see some history about what the people who were held captive here went through. So very sad.

We stopped here on our way to Flensburg. Carson ate here a lot with the missionaries. It was a really cool place.

This is a bakery in Flensburg. Super yummy!

This is an old church in the heart of the city. It was beautiful and we happened to be there when the organist was practicing. It was breathtaking to hear it!

Yes, those are shoes thrown over a wire that was strung across the street. Why? I don't know.

The cobble stone streets are so cool!

Here we are at the harbor. This really is a beautiful city. Unfortunately I got sick this night and didn't get to go into Denmark with Carson and Chet. But they said it was amazing.

Day 5

Day 5:

Jafar and Donya. These two are now family to us. Carson was honored to baptize Jafar right before he came home. Carson loves them so much and we couldn't help but to love them too. We felt an undeniable instant connection and we really wished that we had more time to be with them. Hopefully they will come to the US someday.

The happy reunion!
Here is the lunch that Jafar had prepared for us. He went through so much trouble to make sure we were fed, comfortable and happy.
Meet Donya! This is one smart, spirited, adorable and witty little girl. She kept us laughing the whole time we were there. Loved her!!
Donya doing a little dance for us.
We got to attend Donya's little music program at her school. She was so excited to have her american brother there. She was pretty proud.

They have you take off our shoes and put on slippers every time we go inside. Chet rocked the yellow slippers!

Day 4

Day 4:

This was a monument in Minden that was built to honor the guy who united Germany. I can't
remember his name. But it's interesting because this is where the Hale Hitler sign came from.
Went for a little hike and there was the tower pictured below. Some kind of look out
I guess. It was pretty cool.

The view from the monument.

So this a field full of these beautiful little blossoms. They will be harvested and made into cooking oil.
We saw so many old windmills. I loved them! And then these german style houses were pretty neat too.
This was a little town square with a church in the middle of Bad Essen. These little villages are so quaint and homey. I could have hung out all day here.

We went to see Brother Pflaum. He is Russian and fed us lunch. He was one of Carson's favorite people out on the mission. Carson really liked him.
We went to meet a really cool lady named Rosewitah after lunch. Here are some shots I took on our walk over to her house. There were blossoms everywhere and everything was so green and beautiful.
This is Roswitah. Like I said, she was a really cool person. Her house was amazing. Her husband had completely restored it. The next series of pictures are of her property. She took us out to see her horses. Halee would have been in Heaven. Rosewitah has to be one of the most sincere, genuine people I have ever met. I am so glad Carson got to know her.

Dinner with Brother Altmann. Another of Carson's favorites. Carson says he wants to be just like Brother Altmann. He is a very kind, loving, good man. Here pictured is also Sister Wehnke, the
relief society president in their ward.
